Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution-mapi

Release: precise
Package version: 3.2.2-1

I'm able to successfully login and sync with Exchange 2003. However, recurring events to not appear in my calendar. Non-recurring events show fine.

Interestingly, I've found a similar bug (#513394). I tried to export my calendar to an .ics file and poke through the file's text, I can see the recurring appointments listed in the .ics. They're just not appearing in my calendar as recurrent. Although the initial appointment do appear (around the time I accepted the initial appointement.

Note that this is not specific to a single user since this problems is happenning with everyone in my office that is trying to switch from outlook to Evolution.

If there's any testing I can do at all, please let me know. I'm eager to help.

I've also found other "related" bugs:

I had the same problem, and I was able to work around it by creating a new non-recurring appointment, unselecting the checkboxes next to all calendars in the upper-right corner, and then selecting again the checkbox next to the exchange calendar. After that, the recurring meetings reappeared. I'm not sure which of these steps actually fixed the problem.

While trying the trick I noticed that I cannot create any calendar items?!? Actually, the first one I tried to create did not worked out and while trying to save/ignore/cancel evolution finally crashed... At restart the calendar item was there and could be edited (although the trick to get recursive items never worked...). I've retried to create other calendar entries on my exchange account but it cannot save anything and evolution complains:
