segfault error 4 in libexchangemapi-1.0

Hi there,

I can can confirm this bug exactly as described. Authentication does work, also the download of folder structure, but as soon as I try to read one message evolution does crash immediately. dmesg & syslog shows:

[ 1174.300938] evolution[2930]: segfault at 6d6f726a ip b4f17be9 sp aecfc0d8 error 4 in libexchangemapi-1.0.so.0.0.0[b4f09000+1d000]

To take matter worse, evolution doesn't startup anymore after this crash. The only solution what did work for me, was to startup with a clean new user profile and set all preferences again. Verified 3 times, but not in the mood to test it anymore ...

Using 9.10 (Karmic) i386 (2.6.31-14-generic-pae).

I can also confirm this. Running evolution --force-shutdown after crash helps to recover. IIRC there is a bug similar to this for Ubuntu 9.04 and Evolution 2.26 with same kind of symptoms. Couldn't find it now but one workaround was to disable SMB by removing/renaming /etc/smb.conf but that didn't work this time.

Yup - I get the same problem. looks like when its about to display a message in one of the folders it crashes.

Dropping in my own "me too". For me having the preview window open and clicking on an email in the exchange mailbox causes evolution to crash. Disabling the preview window and trying to open an email via double click opens a new window for viewing the email, but that window remains empty for around 8 to 15 seconds before evolution crashes. The following is what is showing up in my log:

I so hoped it will work :/
