Binary package hint: evolution-indicator

The mail indicator should not only support evolution, but also popular webmail services such as gmail, yahoo and hotmail.

There is no webmail indicator applet. I filed this bug against evolution-indicator, as that is the indicator that is shown by default on the desktop. It either should be expanded to include webmail support or should be replaced by a more generic indicator that does both.

no, webmail should create its own indicator support as every other app is
doing, example pidgin, xchat etc

I think there is https://launchpad.net/desktop-webmail its also in lucid you
can install it. and report bug against it to support messaging menu if
possible.

no, it would be a better idea to have a general mail indicator- whether it is evolution or gmail. why should one have both indicators- for webmail and evolution- if he is using gmail web interface only?
