Can't edit contacts stored on Ubuntu One

Bug Description
Binary package hint: evolution
It seems that existing contacts in Ubuntu One addresbook can be changed only using the U1 web interface.
Steps to reproduce
* open Evolution > Contacts > Ubuntu One
* double clic one contact to edit
* insert, for instance, a new email address
* clic OK button
Expected result
new email should be added to conctact (and synced on server)
Current result
error dialog saying can't save contact due to "Other error"

I have this problem also, on 10.10/Maverick amd64 and the free Ubuntu One subscription.
Evolution: 2.30.3-1ubuntu6,
Evolution-couchdb: 0.5.0-0ubuntu1,
Ubuntuone-client: 1.4.4.1-0ubuntu1.
I can add contacts from Evolution and they synchronise to the server, but I cannot delete or edit contacts from Evolution. However, I can edit and delete them through the web interface. (Also https:/
