Evince won't open thunderbird when clicking email link in pdf

Bug Description

Binary package hint: evince

Probably either evince or apparmor.

Open a pdf with an email link.
Click the link.
Evince displays:
   -
   Unable to open external link
   Failed to execute child process "thunderbird" (Permission denied)

In the syslog:

Either Evince or Apparmour should be fixed so that this never happens.
