Bug Description
Binary package hint: evince
This has occurred in Evince 0.81 in Feisty, as well as the latest packages in Hardy (2.22.2).
Printing to a Savin C6055 printer- Evince treats multiple copies as one large job for stapling. Thus, if you send a four page document to be printed double-sided- and ask for 10 copies- you get 20 pages stapled together with one staple, rather than
10, two-page, stapled copies.
This behavior occurs with both the PXL and PS driver. I have no other printers that do stapling, for testing...
It appears though, that Evince is treating multiple copies as one large document as if the documents have odd page counts they run immediately together with no blank sides separating them.

thank you for your bug report, that seems to be an upstream issue, could you open it on bugzilla.gnome.org too?
