Bug Description

infinite pending instances using eucalyptus on vmware-player

Ubuntu Server 10.04.1 LTS
4 GB, 200GB

Eucalyptus installed on single virtual server via vmware-player
I use my laptop to manage Eucalyptus, in which vmware-player is running UEC

I can upload images, but instances remain pending, then terminate

There are general issues with running all-in-one setup in 10.04.

Additionally, I suspect that eucalyptus-nc is not running or operating correctly as you wont' have kvm support in your vmware guest. At very least you will have to configure the NC to run with qemu (non-accelerated).

Also, the attached 'nc.log' shows:

This is just a demo for proposal.
I will use the cloud-in-your-pocket.
I thought VMWare on my i7 laptop would run kvm-ok, but I guess VMware doesn't like KVM.
