Bug Description

In package emacs 23.3+1-1ubuntu4 I have the problem that Emacs displays the characters ∧ and ∨ swapped (and for or and vice versa) when using the Ubuntu Mono font.

As I learned in my initial bug report concerning the Ubuntu Mono font at

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-font-family/+bug/898410

Ubuntu Mono does not yet include the glyphs at positions 2227 (∧) and 2228 (∨). So it seems that Emacs somehow fetches them from some other font and gets them wrong.

The same problem appears with other fonts like Courier 10 Pitch if the glyphs are not present. When using fonts in which these glyphs are present, everything is fine.

I use Ubuntu 11.10.
