Bug Description
Binary package hint: emacs-snapshot
I am using emacs-snapshot on 10.04 with 3d drivers (nvidia).
The emacs display has lines through the font. Illegible really. Will attach a screenshot.
I removed my .emacs, same problem.

ok, this is weird.
from bug #291399, I got the idea to 'xrdb -remove .Xresources'. This fixes the problem (although I don't get my desired font).
My .Xresources is: r-normal- -0-0-0- 0-m-0-iso8859- 1
Emacs*font: -bitstream-courier 10 pitch-medium-
Emacs.font: Monospace-10
