The theme is missing cache files-I think through XFCE Startup or in the package's postinstall script you need to execute the command as said in the notification error triangle message thing:

"Warning: this icon theme has no cache file. You can create this by running gtk-update-icon-cache /usr/share/icons/elementary-xfce-darkest in a terminal emulator.

TL;DR: add a postinst script to execute that command
gtk-update-icon-cache /usr/share/icons/elementary-xfce-darkest

Hello, you must write sudo, for that it works. Remember (copy it):

 sudo gtk-update-icon-cache /usr/share/icons/elementary-xfce-darkest
