Bug Description
Binary package hint: edubuntu-live
Due to a bug/missing feature in Launchpad, it's not possible to import translation templates for packages in universe.
As edubuntu-live ships additional installer steps and we want these translated to offer a fully translated installer, the Edubuntu team would like this package to be promoted to main for the time being (will be demoted as soon as Launchpad allows importing templates from universe source packages).
My understanding is that promoting just the source package should be enough to get the templates imported into Launchpad.
As it's debconf translations, I'll have to pull them from LP manually anyway and rebuild the package with them.
Here's the usual MIR documentation:
* Availability: Package is in universe, native package at the core of Edubuntu (seeded on edubuntu's DVD)
* Rationale: Stated above. To get translation template imported.
* Security:
** No CVE, no secunia advisory, no Ubuntu CVE, no binary in the package
* QA:
** Package contains some casper scripts and two additional ubiquity steps.
** This package is already at the core of an official Ubuntu derivative so is heavily tested. It doesn't have any critical bug.
** Package is an Ubuntu native package so it doesn't exist in Debian.
** Binary package depends on im-switch to fix a dependency ordering issue with ibus and also conflicts on a bunch of "Recommended" packages that we don't want pulled on our LiveDVD.
