Bug Description

Binary package hint: dvdauthor

Hello,

Arabic support has been a long standing problem with spumux(specifically it's bidi library didn't support shaping) so I tried to add the subtitles as images(about 1000 pngs, each 3 colors) as the spumux page specifies.

I tried this with multiple videos and multiple subtitles, some would work, others wouldn't. Sometimes the same video file would add 1 subtitle stream but not the other. The file size *did* change, but vlc, mplayer and ffmpeg all couldn't find a subtitle stream in the file.

In all cases spumux gave no errors.

This seems to be the only program that is capable of adding softsubs to mpeg video streams, having it not work is a huge drawback(for me at least)
