intermittent delay in typing

I have a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse on a unifying usb receiver. I'm running ubuntu 12.10 with cario-dock. Sometimes about every 15minutes, my keyboard is not responding to keystrokes and can last upto a couple of minutes. This happens in any app and any xterm. No heavy cpu load or memory at the time.
