Bug Description
I was trying to update my Ubuntu 16.04 with the last kernel version.
My current version is
uname -r
4.8.8-040808-
And I would like to update the kernel to the new 4.11.
I downloaded from http://
linux-
linux-
linux-
to a folder, there I executed the first one without errors, but on the second one I have a problem.
This is the log generated on the installation...

I have attached the make.log file.
How could I make the update?
Thank you very much in advance
Kind regards
Your problem is that Nvidia experiences errors when building for this kernel. It needs a new patch, try contacting people here:
https:/ /devtalk. nvidia. com/default/ topic/968448/ linux/304- 135-driver- does-not- build-on- 4-10-kernels/ 2
https:/ /devtalk. nvidia. com/default/ topic/995636/ -patches- 378-13- 4-10-and- 4-11-rc5/
Or you could use a patch for 4.10 and install 4.10 kernel.
