Hi,

What type of installation did you use for doing this? Was it the graphical installer (ubiquity) or with the text-mode installer from the alternate cd?

Thanks in advance.

Salut Mathieu,

I used the text-mode installer from the alternate cd.

And I actually got into trouble there too: the notebook only has a soft-eject button, and no physical eject button on the drive, so when I was asked for the other dvd-s, I couldn't add more, because I couldn't swap the discs. Perhaps adding an "eject" button in the installer would help users with slot loading drives (macbooks for example).

Thanks for your help!

Well, the alternate CD only needs the one CD to install; AFAIK it doesn't need any further media for the install to complete. Please file a new bug about eject for discs if needed (using 'ubuntu-bug debian-installer' should help you there), then report the bug number here. Note that you may try to switch to a different virtual console (Ctrl-Alt-F2 for instance) and run "eject cdrom" to try to eject the device manually as a workaround.

In any case, WPA in d-i is not currently supported. It may be added in a future release (pending the work to be completed in Debian), here's the relevant Debian bug: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=550744 .

Setting triaged/wishlist, so we have something to track for WPA support in d-i. I haven't really checked if there's another such bug, but it's very likely there is, too.
