Bug Description

Hi,

today I wanted to install xenial server amd64 * on my computer. Its a Lenovo Thinkcenter, with two 500GB SATA Disks, which I want to setup in RAID 1 mode, like I do it every time. Both disks are blank (without a partition table) and the system operates in uefi (so the new partition table is in gpt
format).

So on the Installer, I choose "guided use entire disk" for the first disk, which works well. When it asks me, to save changes, I say no to come back to the manual partitioning screen. Then I choose guided partitioning, and then again "guided use entire disk" for the second disk.

After this step, the screen keeps purple and it come never back to the manual partitioning screen like before (on 14.04 it was working like this).

You don't setup a raid by choosing to install to one disk, then backing up and choosing the other. Can you post a screen shot of this hang, and attach /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman after it happens?

okay, I made a short video. This only happens when we use uefi. With Bios the bug not exist. But on 14.04 this also was not existing with uefi.

Hi, I am back again :)

Same behavior on 18.04 - any idea how to solve it?

Yea, that looks like a bug in the menu: it shouldn't take you back to the main menu where you can choose a guided install *again* after having done so already. If you want to set up raid on multiple disks, you need to do a manual install rather than a guided one.
