Bug Description
The current ubuntu-
Steps to reproduce:
1. Use Startup Disk Creator or Unetbootin to write ubuntu-
2. Use USB drive to boot on a computer containing an empty CD/DVD drive.
3. Select "Install Ubuntu Server" from the installer's menu.
4. Follow installation instructions until you receive an error complaining that CD cannot be loaded.
Expected result:
Regardless of whether or not you have a disk in the CD/DVD drive, the LiveUSB installer should not require a CD in order to install.
Actual result:
The LiveUSB installer refuses to continue installation until an Ubuntu installation CD is placed in the CD/DVD ROM drive.
Additional Notes:
To ensure the problem wasn't caused by a bug in the tool used to create the LiveUSB, I tried creating the LiveUSB through several different methods documented here https:/
The machine this was tested on, an Asus RS100-E7/PI2, has a working 10/100/1000 Mbps Internet connection, which I confirmed works by booting into the "Try Ubuntu" option and accessing webpages.
