package python3-dbus 1.1.1-1ubuntu3 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 139

I installed 12.04 using live cd. Upgraded to 12.10 without any problems. When I tried to upgrade to 13.04 it could not not install python3dbus and python3-apt. Subsequentnly some other applications could not be upgraded.
