Did buy a Brother MFC8510 printer that worked out-of-the box (after changing the protocol the printer is accessed with at http://

moving the file away stopped the warnings and returned my printer to a working order again.
Will attach the file to this bug report: Didn't find it in apt-cache so I assume it might be a remains from an old version of an package.

cups-filters 1.0.35 has a fix for the cupsfilters.drv problem. Strange for me is that this problem prevents your printer from printing.
