Bug Description
Binary package hint: computer-janitor
The "Select all" and "Unselect all" options are only available when the user right-clicks one of the items in the list. This is unexpected, since these actions are global actions (affect the whole list) but are attached to individual items. Right-clicking an empty part of the list has no effect.
A more discoverable way of allowing the user to select all items is with a checkbox at the top of the list.

Adding these to the view menu would make sense (for karmic+1, we're past UI freeze), and also making the popup menu available in the whole column, of course.
