Bug Description

Binary package hint: screenlets

If I click on "show desktop" the screenlets disappear. They reappear if I'm clicking again on "show desktop".

Do you have Compiz Fusion enabled? If yes, then install Compiz Config Settings Manager(or not if it is already installed)- in terminal write: sudo apt-get install ccsm Then open it (press Alt+F2, write ccsm). In general options disable "Hide skip taskbar windows" option.

The workaround doesn't work any more. I've reactived the show desktop icon following this guide:

http://www.webupd8.org/2011/04/show-desktop-icon-for-ubuntu-unity.html

Clicking on "Show desktop" lets the screenlets disappear as described in the bug report. But disabling "hide skip taskbar windows" has the result that show desktop doesn't work any more.

we don't support everything you can do with unity. adding a compiz task, as none of this has to do with unity as it is shipped.
