Compiz no longer works

Bug Description

I updated my OS today to 8.04 and compiz no longer works. When I go to my appearance stings there is no longer a custom setting. If you have any advice on how to fix this I would be grateful.

To get the custom option you need to install the simple-ccsm package. Do you have a laptop? What video card do you have?

I installed simple-ccsm and now I cant switch the desktop effects from
none. I have a ATI Radeon IGP 345M video/graphics card in a sony pcg-k45.
