It seems that package needs to be updated, developer has recently fixed the issue:

http://builds.clementine-player.org/ubuntu-vivid/

I downloaded the latest version at the moment (clementine_1.2.3-1118-g4c9f7e6~vivid_amd64.deb) and everything works just fine.
