Bug Description
1) 18.1 with all updates
2) Run linux mint on a 4k (3840 × 2160) monitor. I used the LG 27UD68-W. I have UI scaling set to auto. There's another bug with autoscaling on a 4k monitor that I just submitted that this may be related to, but this was after reboot
3) The edges of the text become slightly blurry and really annoying. I know this isn't the monitor because it doesn't happen in windows, I believe due to the setting where it asks you to pick the cleanest looking text to you to calibrate the fading for higher resolution displays.
In a related problem, this also happens to rounded and diagonal lines in the images icons in system settings.
4) To get useable text. and system icons without blur.
5) Always.
