Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers of the software by following the instructions at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. If you have done so, please tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a bugwatch that will inform us about its status. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I am also affected by this bug. Will there be a fix for this? I am running Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (bionic)

Hi I can confirm that when I install camorama from the Ubuntu Software application in 18.04 LTS the webcam works properly while cheese displays the error.

This looks exactly like an issue that has just been worked around in GStreamer (see upstream bug at https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=796789, the fix will be in release 1.14.2).

Hi, I was wondering as to when the fix will be included in Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS?

The fix has been out since July but users of Ubuntu 18.04 LTS haven't received the updated packages with the fix yet. It is still 1.14.1 for gst-plugins-good1.0.

Hi, when will the fix included in LTS? Bionic is on 18.04.2 now but the fix hasn't been included at all.
