Bug Description

As OEM projects had a task of Intel VROC support, the one of targets is to install customized desktop on VROC RAID devices. I found that current casper can't support it with latest code:

Also, I knew that the previous bug (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/casper/+bug/63398) mentioned that the similar request, however, if mdadm can be seeded into https://code.launchpad.net/~ubuntu-core-dev/ubuntu-seeds/+git/, then can we make casper work with md?

Please also make casper depend on or recommend mdadm for this issue.

This patch is there for a while, is it possible to include it to 21.04 then have a backport to Focal? So that we can apply the Intel VROC feature to desktop.
