Bug Description

I noticed that caja has difficulty when the number of files is moderate (20,000 files). This is probably from using an algorithm that does not scale well.

While using a tool to consolidate 40 years of my work, one directory ended up with 1.2 million files. I tried using caja to move 200,000 files to a different directory.

caja opened the progress window, claimed that it was "preparing to move" the files. 5 hours later the file count was exactly the same. caja had crashed.

I used xkill to kill caja.

Then I tried relaunching caja. Nothing.

I launched nautilus and could see the directory.

I rebooted. caja still will not launch.

?????

How do I reinstall caja?
Do I have to reinstall Ubuntu to get caja working?
