Inconsistent display of the right panel view when using symlink for ~/Pictures?

I have had this problem for since at least 20.04 now: when customizing the listing views of ~/Pictures, when view mode is defined by the folder, when going back to parent folder the view is totally messed up.
Example:
~/Pictures = "Icon view"
~/Pictures/2022 = "List view"
when accessing Pictures and then 2022, going back to Pictures will sometimes display wrongly (see attached)
NB: I am uncertain if this is because of what I have just mentioned or because my ~/Pictures is actually a soft symbolic link pointing over my router but if I remember correctly this started happening kind at that period.
Refreshing/F5 the messed up display will of course result in it displaying as intended.
