bzr-builddeb fails to import-dsc with native package on Ubuntu 12.04

Trying to do the following:
 - bzr get ubuntu:ifupdown
 - pull-lp-source ifupdown 0.7~rc2+experimentalubuntu1
 - cd ifupdown
 - bzr import-dsc ../*.dsc

Fails with: http://paste.ubuntu.com/1169802/

The package is a native package and the import-dsc target is also a native package.
