Bug Description

A brief detail of my installation: I use Ubuntu in pt-BR, and the xdg-user-
But, althought its technically and grammatically correct, the ' in the letters (as in "ú") makes it quite impossible to bash-completion to work properly when I access the machines remotely from a Windows SSH client (such as Putty or SecureCRT), which forces me to set symbolic-links to the original name from their translated versions (so, I have a "Videos" that is a symlink to "Vídeos") and so on...
I believe, according to the log, that it could be interfering with banshee's ability to scan my media libraries, which is silly, cause the symlinks are supposed to be native understood by any application.

By the way, it seems to work just fine in another system I have running Natty (instead of Maverick) with a similar folder/symlinks setting
