Bug Description

Binary package hint: banshee

I've got a password-less samba share on my home network sharing my music. This is available as a link in nautilus as well.

I've added the music library to banshee. If I open banshee and click on some music, banshee can't play it. But if I open that share in nautilus, and then ask banshee to play, that works.

This issue looks similar to bug 723409, however that user is mounting his directory using SSHFS. Please could you run in a terminal "banshee --debug" and attach all the output information in a separated file?

Amit, are you still facing this behaviour with latest release of banshee shipped in the final stable Ubuntu Natty Narwhal?

I don't see the problem now.

Spoke too soon. Just imported my music collection over samba into a new Natty
install. After a reboot, the music doesn't start playing.

Manually connection to the smb share through the file manager and then
playing works.

No, I don't automount it. That share is in my list of bookmarks and I
added my music (Media -> Import Media) through that share.
