Bug Description
Binary package hint: banshee
Banshee has drag and drop export/copy support but not proper import support. I of ten use drag and drop to export files to my SD card for my SD-based MP3 player. This feature is very useful. An equally useful feature is drag and drop importing. This report requests the ability to drag to the Music Icon in the left pane or to the actual Music List/Library to be able to add songs to the music Library.
Current workarounds:
1) Press Ctrl-i and select files, then import
What happens: Music is imported
Expected: Music is imported
2) (SEE VIDEO) Select files in nautilus; drag to "Music" item in left pane; "New Playlist" item appears; Drag to "New Playlist". Note: Does not work when banshee window is maximized.
What happens: Music is added to Music Library. An empty "New Playlist" item remains.
Expected: Ability to drag to music library; Ability to drag to new playlist which should retain the songs after importing; Ability to drag files to list view to either add to playlist or to library.
