Bug Description

Binary package hint: banshee

The Banshee notification area icon offers very useful features. When I hover over it I see the name of the song currently played, when I left click it, Banshee is opened and when I right click it I have the option to rate the current song.

The new indicator-application doesn't support any of these features and I think all three would be useful.
[Display currently playing song] is useful for me, because I often shuffle through a long play list but if I particularly like one song, I want to be able to see the name and artist without opening Banshee first.
[Rating] songs is important for me to organize my library. I like to be able to rate a song while I hear it. And doing that without having to open Banshee is very convenient.

I also think that the way to 'show banshee' is not the best. For example if Banshee is open but hidden behind a window, I would have to first click on the indicator and un-tick 'show banshee', and then click on the indicator again and tick 'show banshee' again. I prefer the behavior of the notification area icon, even though that might not be the way how indicators are supposed to behave.

I have reassigned this requirement to banshee-community-extensions because is not a banshee bug it self.
