Bug Description

state the reason why you feel it is necessary

   0.600 adds support for a new class of authentication-results headers, for DMARC based on draft-kucherawy-dmarc-base-00 that was just submitted to the IETF. I expect interest in this in the near term due to it being submitted to the IETF after having been in development externally for some time, so it would be nice to have support for it in the upcoming Ubuntu release.

diff of the Upstream ChangeLog (not debian/changelog)

  + Added support for DMARC as described in draft-kucherawy-dmarc-base-00

Build log attached.

install log

$ sudo dpkg -i python3-authres_0.600-1_all.deb python-authres_0.600-1_all.deb

The package runs it's full test suite with every Python/Python3 version during build. Also it's developed upstream on Ubuntu, so I'm confident that it works with Ubuntu's Python/Python3. The functional changes in this release (excluding tests and documentation) are in a new file that adds a the new class and modifying two existing lines that list the available types. The risk of regression is very low. The package is already in Debian, so this will be a sync.

Looks backwards-compatible and perfectly-safe.

This bug was fixed in the package authres - 0.600-1

---------------
authres (0.600-1) unstable; urgency=low

  * Upload to unstable
  * New upstream release
  * Update vcs field in debian/control to the canonical location
