Audacity crashes when fast forwarding

Bug Description
When I try to fast forward in an audio file while playing it, Audacity will freeze and will remain unusable until I force close the application and restart it. This problem happens every time when I try to fast forward! I suspect a problem with my audio drivers but I'm not sure.
