Bug Description

Binary package hint: apcupsd

/etc/init.d/apcupsd doesn't have a status option. It should have a status option.

This is on a friend (Altlinux) distribution

# /etc/init.d/apcupsd
Usage: apcupsd {start|stop|reload|restart|condstop|condrestart|status}

just want the status thank you :)

This is still a problem in Jaunty.

Actually it is possible to invoke /etc/init.d/apcupsd status
However if apcupsd is not running it fails with
 Error contacting apcupsd @ localhost:3551: Connection refused

If it is running it provides too much information.
