Using Edgy, anjuta 2.0.2-2ubuntu1
Anjuta 2.0.2 does not come with the Build plugin enabled by default.

Single file programs can be compiled, but not actually built, creating a very
confusing situation where the Execute Program command does not work
despite successful compilation.
Anjuta 1.2 had this functionality, making it very appropriate for learning
how to program C++ without the barrier of having to create projects. This is no longer the case.
