correctly set default application for previews

Bug Description

actually the default application used to preview multimedia files is mplayer which isn't part of a ubuntu standard installation.

this cause the preview not to work out of the box

the best solution would be to set as default the xdg-open executable, who is in charge of handling correct file types associations
