I just received my Blade 16 and walked into the same problem with Ubuntu 22.04.2 fresh install and everything updated to latest versions. I also tested on Ubuntu 23.04, same problem.

Blade 18 same issue

No exactly sure if this is related, but supposedly fix for samsung notebooks using same card - https://github.com/thesofproject/linux/issues/4055
