Bug Description
Binary package hint: alacarte
First of all, a few items from my menu disappeared on their own. These include important ones which I use a lot like Synaptic in the System > Administration menu.
I try to select it back using Alacarte, it gets selected but within 2 seconds the check box gets deselected back on its own. I don't know of any other way to edit my menu and am totally frustrated because of this minor problem.
I am using Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04 x86_64 with all updates. I am also using Compiz GLX, I have tried it without Compiz with same results.
