Bug Description
Steps to reproduce bug:
1. Main menu > Settings > Main Menu
2. Click "New Item"
3. Fill in a name and a command
4. Click Create
Actual behavior: The new menu item appears in the actual main menu, but not in the "Main Menu" editor. There is no way to edit the newly created item, and no way to delete it since it is not listed in the editor.
Expected behavior: The new menu item should appear both in the main menu, and the "Main Menu" editor.
Ubuntu Studio 13.04 (64-bit)

Application bugs should be against the application and not the distribution. Most applications have an about dialog that gives the actual application name. I think this application is alacarte, could you check? The way to get the best bug report is to run ubuntu-bug <application name> from the terminal. That way system information is automatically collected.
BTW there is an XFCE menu editor coming "real soon now" that will replace alacarte.
