Bug Description
By default, the root filesystem is mounted with the 'errors=remount-ro option. If some failure occurs, the root filesystem is remounted in read only mode but no notification is given to the user that this has happened.
This situation should be detected, and an alert given via the GUI explaining what has happened and, more importantly, how to recover the situation.
