[Needs-Packaging] Gizmo

IMHO Ubuntu still lacks an easy-to configure, robust and reliable free open source internet telephony software. Gizmo (http://gizmo5.com) apparently is no open source software but it seems to work with SIP.

My question is whether it would be legal and possible for you to add Gizmo to the Ubuntu third party repository.

I've tried a number of fully open internet telephony programs but on my system not a single one of them worked a quarter as well as some well-known software that the current market leader provides. So maybe Gizmo would be an alternative which might be useful to a number of people as open source solutions apparently still need to advance, I don't know. Please debate this.

Gizmo offers Debian packages on http://gizmo5.com/pc/download/linux/. From my limited knowledge, this indicates that it should not be too difficult for them to package a Ubuntu 8.10 package if someone asks them.
