Bug Description

AFAIK, Ubuntu lacks a proper internet telephony solutiony.* IMHO it might be useful to have a wide choice of internet telephony programs in Ubuntu to get people to try and talk about it. Therefore my question would be whether it would be legal and possible to add minisip (http://www.minisip.org/screenshots.html) to Ubuntu 8.10.

*) By "proper" I mean something that does not take days to configure and that works reliable on many network environments - to sum up, some solution that does not make you look like a complete idiot towards people who use other operating systems and install and configure their proprietary internet telephony clients in two minutes.

Still no change on this issue. Is this going to be a part of Ubuntu 9.04?
