When switching back to terminal the keyboard doesn't work

Bug Description

I have the terminal app in a windowed environment.
I have a paired bt keyboard (don't think it is important but...)
If I loose focus because I click on another window and then I click on the terminal window.
I cannnot write anything on the keyboard. The Alt+Tab works, thou.
I have to to click on the tabs button and choose one tab, then the keyboard works again

More info:
I am also with an external display and the phone is in trackpad mode,
This happens when I click another window that has a text box and I click on it. This brings the virtual keyboard on the phone screen.

If I click on another window that will not bring up the virtual keyboard, then the terminal will work when I will switch back to it.

The same on N4 rc-proposed.
I've to select terminal tab button and select the shell back to get the keyboard working.

Same on BQ M10 with Bluetooth or USB keyboard.
