Further investigation shows that although the message 'Display all 1209 possibilities (y or n)' is not displayed anymore, it still is there.
So the terminal only responds to characters y and n.

I can definitely reproduce the issue. As you say, the line is still there, but for some reason it's now shown anymore. I'll look into it.

This is reproducible with any terminal emulator (e.g. konsole, gnome-terminal, xterm)

On a desktop:
1) Launch the terminal emulator
2) Type e.g. "a"
3) Press "Tab" for auto-completion
4) Resize the emulator window
5) Press "Tab" again

I would say there could be something wrong in some upstream project (e.g. bash).

This report should be considered "Invalid" for terminal-app (the problem exists in another project), however it's true that it's much easier to trigger this bug on terminal-app, since:

 * The on-screen keyboard causes an update of the terminal widget size any time it's shown/hidden.
 * The "Tab" key is emulated by a single-tap gesture, which is often activated by mistake.

I will look on the net for further informations on this bug. Anyway, I think it's worth to discuss about some improvement in the UX, in order to make harder to encounter the issue.
