Account creation fails repeatedly, then it works

I have observed that occasionally, and so did davmor2. However, it seemed related to intermittent network connectivity.
Right now, we lack a reproducible test case for this issue.

I have reconfirmed this issue to be a bug between ussoa and oxide, when settings cookies and/or dismissing the webui at the end of the account creation process.

Further testing seems to indicate that the problem appears more specifically with Twitter and Evernote accounts. Which are OAuth1.0a based, as opposed to OAuth 2 for Google for example.

I finally found how to reproduce it, using Twitter. If the Twitter login form is confirmed b tapping on the "Authorize" button in the WebView, things always work fine.
The bug happens when the login form is confirmed by pressing "Enter" on the virtual keyboard. In that case, the VK is not dismissed, and the crash happens quite frequently.

There may be an OSK problem, but I still can reproduce the issue by tapping on the Authorize button, ie without pressing Enter in the OSK.

FWIW I've seen this with my fitbit account-plugin as well, which at the moment is oauth 1.0a as well

Chris Coulson indicated that there is a simple way to avoid hitting the software compositing code path, by using the same setup for the webview, as the one used by webbrowser-app.

Marking invalid for Oxide. Should be fixed in online-accounts.
