Bug Description

Podbird keeps playing audio when headphones are removed. This is different to behavior for podcast applications on both iOS and Android and led to me blaring a podcast in a room full of people.

Reproduce:

Play a podcast
Connect headphones (audio should keep playing)
    - audio keeps playing
Remove headphones (audio should stop playing)
    - audio keeps playing

While this bug does affect Podbird, it is more a system issue. Media-hub the platform service that plays the audio should be the one to stop playing the audio when the headphones are removed.

affects: podbird → media-hub

@jones-8: what device are you using podbird on? Does it always do this for you? Can you do a quick experiment for me please and then let me know what happens.

1. Open music-app with your headphones plugged in.
2. Begin playing music with music-app and verify that you can only hear audio through the headphones and not the main speaker
3. Unplug the headphones while playing music via music-app
4. Playback in music-app should pause

Hi @jhodapp

Yes it always happens for me. Doing the experiment(with the Music App) still results in audio playing from the speakers. When I disconnect the headphones the 'speakers' osd is shown with the volume level, audio comes out of the speakers.
