Bug Description
If a user follows Ubuntu 12.04 installation instructions while on Windows and tries to create a USB instalation media from the alternate installation CD, this produces an USB that does not boot (or boots, but can not find the d-i components, if alternative USB creation software is used).
This is very important for enterprise users - enterprise users are forced to use the alternate installation CD to get the full disk encryption (very often mandated by security policies) and are increasingly using USB installation media due to the speed and sometimes due to newer laptops and desktops lacking CD drives.
The USB creation application that is linked from the download page not only looks quite amateurish, but also simply fails to create a correctly working alternate installation CD.
