Bug Description
I'm trying to record my QA testing on http://
My normal procedure is
- start QA-test report on iso.qa.ubuntu recording the box & intention of test (it's marked IN PROGRESS)
- open to add details as issues occurs, eg. on entering details into the calamares installed an issue occurs; so I edit the report I started earlier & record the bug
- when completed; I edit the report again & either FAIL or PASS the test & add any additional final comments.
The result is the page is used multiple times per QA-test.
** Issue & Actual Experience
On hitting the EDIT link (http://
ie. web site is too slow
** Expected Outcome & Experience
Page won't take as long and sit with only a bouncing-DOT in the top of the TAB on firefox.. Nothing shows on the actual page, it just sits for 5-20 seconds before new detail is shown.
Issue is pages are very slow
NOTE: I've had another Lubuntu QA-tester report the same to me 24 days ago now; so it's not new. From the discussion we hoped (my suggestion) it was just a temporary condition relating to Christmas/New Year, alas it's remained this way. The ~24 days maybe helpful in timing, but the issue was noted before then too; that was date of discussion on site.
I am also affected.
I've timed it and it has progressively grown slower - sometimes taking almost a minute to load a page. I think my record (on fairly acceptable broadband) was ~55 seconds to open the report page.
This is quite disruptive. It may seem trivial to folks who don't use the site regularly, but it's amazingly disruptive. Sure, it's just a minute - but those add up when it's every time, and every step, while filing your daily reports.
It's a definite annoyance.
